Bikers - America’s Answer to Imminent Crisis
When mega-natural, terrorist attacks, chemical, biological, nuclear war happens, Accident Scene Management, Inc. (ASMI) trained Bikers will save lives. Only they will be able to penetrate massive traffic jams on motorcycles to deliver needed emergency medical services. The last time that I was at the Pentagon representing Wisconsin at the National Security Seminar, multiple scenarios were presented. 1 of 10 people left alive, mass emigration out of populated areas are expected in search of water, food and shelter. Motorcyclists will have the unique ability to help in times of crisis. A group out of Chicago called the Rescue Riders (founded by Dean Akey) is organizing Bikers to do just that! Joining the Rescue Riders is Free. Go to www.RescueRiders.org for more information.
It’s time you get trained through Accident Scene Management which teaches First Response to citizens. Courses are taught by Vicki and Tony Sanfelipo from Wisconsin, Denise Carey from Texas or many other trainers. All Lead ASMI instructors are EMT or higher in Medical Training and are Motorcyclists.
The recent Tommy Thompson Reunion Ride to the Great Smokey Mountains was unforgettable. Tommy Thompson, former Governor of Wisconsin and Secretary of Health and Human Services supports ASMI’s efforts to train motorcyclists in First Response. During his fundraising ride for ASMI we toured the Wheels Through Time Motorcycle Museum, where you can tantalize all 5 senses - included watching, hearing and smelling an ancient motorcycle drag race inside the museum!
Other highlights included Onto These Hills History of the Cherokee Indians, and riding Dragons Tail. Witnessing the joy of Wisconsin Senator Mary Lazich after completing the 11-mile ride with 318 curves was awe-inspiring! By the way, all you hard core, old school Biker wanabees - Senator Lazich also rode her Harley Nightster to the Great Smokey's and back to Wisconsin. Then to add insult to injury to our bikers’ pride, while we wore coats and raingear on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Senator Lazich wore only a t-shirt and smiled on the whole ride. She now proudly sports the nickname “Dragon Lady”.
Then there was the road-rage guy who purposely knocked down our road guard, retired NYC Firefighter, John Kelly on this 9/11/01 Memorial Red Harley. God Bless him.
This has got to be one of the best-organized rides I have ever been on. Congratulations, Vicki and Tony for salvaging the Governors’ Ride and keeping it going for 14 years!
For the record, my 1991 FXRT Harley has 950,572 miles on it. But the engine blew in Kentucky and Mike Greenwald hauled it back.. Minister Murf Muth, motorcycle miracle master mechanic is medicating the engine. I rode Mike’s 1997 BMW 640 miles - what a great machine. “Better me in Hospital than my Bike in the Shop”.
God Bless you, your loved ones and our troops.

ASMI Statement of Purpose
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration 3% of Roadway crashes involve motorcyclists but 11% of Roadway fatalities were motorcyclists! The purpose of ASMI's Bystander Assistance Programs are to reduce injuries and fatailties to motorcyclists through First Response Education. We also expect to reduce rescuer injury through proper training. Our programs, based upon the US DOT First Responder Curriculum, are focused on Trauma rather than First Aid and CPR. All classes include a Lead instructor who is EMT or higher in medical training. For the price of a piece of chrome you can receive this invaluable training in just one to two days. Don't put this training off.
